Mr. Billy Joe Martin, age 76, of Temple passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017.  Mr. Martin was born in Villa Rica, Georgia, on May 9, 1941.  He was the son of the late Robert Samuel Martin and the late Susie Louise George Martin.  Mr. Martin was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was retired from Aubrey Silvey Enterprises.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Hancock Martin.

Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law, Tammy and George Samo of Bainbridge, PA, Billie Ann Martin of Everett, WA, Clara and Tony Warbington of Chamblee, and Cindy and George Smith of Cedartown; one son and daughter-in-law, William Robert and Lynn Martin of Monroe; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Sarah Alford Toole of Carrollton, Rachel and Dwain Duffie of Carrollton, and Judy and Delmar Bankston of Temple; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Samuel Charles Hancock and Cathy Hancock of Bremen; nineteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Hutcheson-Croft Funeral Home with Rev. Homer Wysner officiating.  Interment will follow in Glenn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
