Clark Cary Turner

Mr. Clark Cary Turner, age 63, of Temple passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019. He was born in Carrollton on Wednesday, December 21, 1955. Mr. Clark was the son of the late, Charlie Turner and the late, Alma Zue Batson. Besides his parents, Mr. Turner was preceded in death by one brother, Loyd Batson.  

Survivors include his wife, Carol (Whatley) Turner of Temple; three sons, Wayne David Batson of Nashville, Tennessee, Robert Turner of Pell City, Alabama and Daniel Batson and his fiancée, Samantha Lanning of Dallas, Georgia; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and George Pate of Pell City, Alabama and Tonya and John Underwood of Anadarko, Oklahoma; his step-mother, Marie Turner; eight brothers, Wayne Rodgers, Gene Rodgers, W.R. Turner, James Turner, Richard Turner, Hollis Turner, Kenneth Batson, and Jimmy Batson; four sisters, Ann Haynes, Violet Milan, Rose Batson, and Tanya Turner; thirteen grandchildren and a number of other relatives.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 3, 2019 from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. (Eastern Standard Time).

 Funeral services will be conducted at Leeds First Congregational Holiness Church in Leeds, Alabama on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 2P.M. (Central Standard Time) with Pastor Frances Batson officiating. Interment will follow in Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Vandiver, Alabama with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Hunter Batson, Kenneth Batson, Matthew Batson, Eli Pace, Brandon Fry, Cody Evans, James Turner, W.R. Turner and Richard Turner.

Mr. Turner will lie in state at the church prior to the service on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 from 12 noon until the funeral hour.
