Emma Jean (Kelly) Steed

Mrs. Emma Jean (Kelly) Steed, age 77, of Villa Rica passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018. She was born in Odenville, Alabama on Saturday, December 21, 1940. Mrs. Steed was the daughter of the late Johnny Joseph Kelly and the late Minie Vera (McGuire) Kelly. Besides her parents, Mrs. Steed is preceded in death by her husband Johnny Avery Steed, Sr. and three brothers, William Kelly, Lawson Kelly, Jerry Jerome Kelly and one son-in-law Shane Motes.

Survivors include her two sons and one daughter-in-law, Johnny Avery Steed, Jr. of Villa Rica and Michael Wayne and Justine Steed of Villa Rica; four daughters and one son-in-law, Debra and Tracy Rowland of Temple, Cindy Gail Motes of Villa Rica, Angela Denise Steed of Fort Payne, Alabama and Erin Vera Mae Steed of Villa Rica; one brother Ray Kelly of Vandiver, Alabama; three sisters, Carolyn Davis of Pinson, Alabama, Irene Rocks of Odenville Alabama and Ruth Nichols of Leeds, Alabama; eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives.  

The family will receive friends at Hutcheson-Croft Funeral Home in Temple, Georgia on Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 4 P.M. until 7 P.M. Eastern Standard Time.

Funeral services will be conducted at Kilgroe Funeral Home Chapel in Leeds, Alabama on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 12 noon Central Standard Time.

Interment will follow in Branchville Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Odenville, Alabama.
