Erbie Eugene Carr, Sr.

Mr. Erbie Eugene Carr, Sr. age 68, of Douglasville passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2019. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on Sunday, December 10, 1950. Mr. Carr was preceded in death by his father, Erbie Casey Carr. Mr. served in the United States Navy. Later in life he made a career as an electrician.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Erbie Eugene Carr, Jr. and Dacey Carr of Nashville, Tennessee; five daughters and sons-in-law, Christine and Michael Leahy of Gainesville, Jenna and Josh Bixby of Tomahawk, Wisconsin, Vicky Carr and her fiancé Scott McElwaney of Douglasville and Melinda, James Vance of Hiram and Jamie Peters; his mother, Billie Barber (Custer) Carr of Villa Rica; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenny and Dora Carr of Tennessee and David and Holly Carr of Florida; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Letha and Mike Halbert of Arizona and Carol and Les Drummond of Temple; six grandchildren, Landon Bixby, Noah Bixby, Vivian Vance, Hannah Vance, Andrew McElwaney, Kara Peters and a number of other relatives.

In accordance with Mr. Carr’s wishes, he will be cremated.
