Gary Wayne Crew, Sr.

Mr. Gary Wayne Crew, Sr., age 67, of Bremen passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. He was born in Villa Rica on Sunday, June 24, 1951. Mr. Crew was the son of the late Alton Crew and the late Mary (Chance) Leathers. Besides his parents, Mr. Crew is preceded in death by his brothers, William Arthur Crew, Jessie Cannon Crew, and Earnest Roger Crew; his sister, Ann Crew and his niece, Sherry Lynn Crew.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Gary Crew, Jr. and Faith Crew of Carrollton; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Kristy and Donald Mallory of LaGrange and Holly and Glen Jones of Centre, Alabama; ten grandchildren,  Johnathon Steele, Dustin Steele, Tiffany White, Brooklyn Ferguson, Abby Mallory, Joshua Crew, Abigail Crew, Chasity Crew, Stormy Jones and Kayla Jones; five great-grandchildren, Gracie Steele, Tanner Ferguson, Sean White, Kenlee White and Hayden Arrington; family members, Denise Truett, Kim Pope, Rod Crew, Carrie Floyd, Randle Crew and a number of other nieces, nephews and other relatives.  

Mr. Crew served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Later in life he worked as a roofer for Daniel Construction in LaGrange.

Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 2 P.M. from the Hutcheson-Croft Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Randall Dunlap, Reverend Johnny Simpson, and Reverend Joe Darby officiating.

Interment with Military Honors will follow in Bethany Christian Church in Dallas, Georgia with Johnathon Steele, Dustin Steele, Johnny Ray Truett, Tim Strozier, Joshua Crew, and Donald Mallory serving as pallbearers and Randle Crew as an honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 6 P.M. until 9 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the funeral home to assist with the funeral expenses.
