Joe William Ellis IV

Mr. Joe William Ellis IV, age 47, of Villa Rica passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019. He was born in Atlanta on Tuesday, December 7, 1971. 

Mr. Ellis was preceded in death by his mother, Ila Geraldine (Barden) Newsom.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra (Thurston) Ellis of Villa Rica; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Wesley Ellis of Mount Zion, Jeffrey and Casey Barnes of Jackson and Joshua and April Barnes of Douglasville; three daughters and one son-in-law, Jessica and Kevin Flake of Carrollton, Kinley Ellis of Douglasville and Jennifer Barnes of Jackson; his father, Fred Newsom of Villa Rica; one brother, Jeff Barclay of Villa Rica; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Lisa and Bruce Boatwright of Villa Rica and Tammy Force of Villa Rica; nine grandchildren, Ryland Flake, Dean Jackson, Hannah Barnes, Jordan Barnes, Owen Barnes, Jace Barnes, Blake Barnes, Erika Barnes, Autumn Lambert and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 3P.M. from the funeral home chapel with Mr. Andy Hagan officiating. Music will be rendered by Mr. Wesley Ellis and Mr. Fred Newsom will provide the closing prayer.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 1P.M. until the funeral hour.

In accordance with Mr. Ellis’ wishes, he will be cremated following the funeral service.
