Mr. Arlie Edward Agan , age 89, of Temple passed away Monday, October 13 2014. Mr. Agan was born on Saturday, June 27, 1925 in Haralson County. He was the son of the late William Floyd Agan and the late Willie (Gallimore) Agan. Besides his parents Mr. Agan is preceded in death by his wife Mary Emma (Gordon) Agan; Three brothers, Artice Agan, Ernest Agan, and Clarence Agan; Two sisters, Vernell Agan and Thelma Ezell; and One daughter-in-law, Joyce Agan.

Survivors include two sons, Edward R. Agan of Temple and James Agan of Temple; One daughter and son-in-law, Faye and Gene Thomason of Carrollton; One brother Delcer Agan of Temple; Four grandchildren and a number of other relatives. Mr. Agan served his Country in the United States Navy, he was cabinet craftsman by trade and also retired from Southwire.

The family will receive friends at Hutcheson Funeral Home in Temple on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 4P.M. to 8P.M.

Funeral Services will be conducted at Faith Baptist Church in Temple on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 2P.M. with Reverend Travis Prichard officiating. Mr. Agan will lie in state at the church from 1P.M. until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in New Brooklyn Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Jerry Loveless, Johnny Bedingfield, Trenton Moore, Johnny Hulsey, Johnny Muse, and Cliff Sanders. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Samuel Ogden, Charles Reid, Buford Kittle,and Jeff Alexander.
