Asa Tims Jr.

Mr. Asa Tims Jr. , age 74, of Old Bremen Rd. in Temple, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014. Mr. Tims was born in Muscadine, Alabama on Saturday, June 6, 1939. He was the son of the late Asa Leon Tims Sr. and the late Zula Mae Sherbert Tims. Besides his parents Mr. Tims was preceded in death by his wife Mary Grace Ledbetter Tims, his daughter Mary Joyce Tims Lewis; Two brothers Virgil E. Tims and Franklin Leon Tims; and his sister Beatrice Tims Smith.

Survivors include his three sons and two daughter-in-laws, Earl and Rose Tims of Temple, Jimmy and Betty Tims of Temple, and Billy Tims of Temple; Two Daughters and three son-in-laws, Helen and Sonny Roberts of Carrollton, Connie and Randy Hugate of Temple, and Dale Lewis of Dallas; Three sisters and two brother-in-laws, Travis and Jeanette Prichard of Waco, Johnny and Linda Hulsey of Waco, and Viola Tims Ledbetter of Muscadine; His special friend Gloria Temple of Dallas, Seventeen Grandchildren, Thirty Four great grandchildren, and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 2P.M. from Faith Baptist Church in Temple, GA. with Reverend Travis Prichard officiating. Mr. Tims will lie in state at the Church from 1P.M. until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Faith Baptist Church Cemetery.
