Bettye Joyce (Morris) Jones

Ms. Bettye Joyce (Morris) Jones, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. She was born in Carroll County on November 26, 1932. Ms. Jones was the daughter of the late, Lowell James Daniel Morris and the late, Laura Mae (Rabun) Morris. In addition to her parents, Ms. Jones is preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Horace Kimball. 

Survivors include her son, Michael Jones of Valrico, Florida; her brother and sister-in-law, Donnie and Karen Morris of Tallapoosa, her grandchildren, Madeline Jones-Mills of St. Louis, Missouri and Emma Jones of Valrico, Florida. Ms. Jones is also survived by her nieces, nephews, and a number of other relatives. 

In accordance with Ms. Jones’ arrangements, she will be cremated.

The family plans to hold a Memorial Service at a later date.
