Carlene Mae Ackley Lee

Carlene Mae Ackley Lee, age 78 of Temple, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at her residence.  Born on May 6, 1946, in East Machias, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Carl Ackley and the late Blanche Matthews Coffin.  In addition to her parents, Carlene is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Chester Lee, Jr.

Carlene spent her life helping others, especially the elderly. For many years she was a Certified Nursing Assistant and retired from the VA Hospice Care Home in Machias, Maine. Christmas was her favorite time of the year, and she truly loved the Christmas decorations. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Left to cherish her memories are her son and daughter-in-law, Fred & Angie Davidson of Villa Rica; her daughters and sons-in-law, Kim & Scott Cohran of Temple and Kisha Dennison and Kerry Faas of Machias, Maine; and her sisters and brother-in-law, Carolyn & Mike Dennison of Augusta, Maine and Nancy Morse of Maine.  Also surviving are six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.

In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated.  The family will host a memorial service for Carlene Lee at a later date.

Cremation services are entrusted to Hutcheson-Croft Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Temple.
