Carol Diane Holland

Mrs. Carol Diane (Strickland) Holland, age 73, of Temple, formerly of Fayetteville, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026. Born on June 24, 1952, in Sumter, South Carolina, she was the cherished daughter of the late Billy H. Strickland and the late Marielyn (Smith) Strickland.

Mrs. Holland dedicated herself to a rewarding career as a Cardiopulmonary Nurse with Emory Heart Specialists, where she committed 37 years to caring for others. Her kind and compassionate spirit made a lasting impact on those she served. In her leisure time, Carol enjoyed reading, cooking, and traveling, and her sense of humor brought joy to many. Most importantly, she deeply loved her family, especially her grandchildren, who will continue to honor her legacy.

She is survived by her sons, Steve Gaskins of McDonough, Matt Barnett of Stockbridge, and Austin Holland of Fayetteville; her daughters, Danielle Phillips and her husband, Adam of Temple, and Chyna Gaskins of Buford; her brothers, Jeff Strickland and his wife, Brenda of Fayetteville, and Wayne Strickland of Concord; and her beloved grandchildren, Ian Wolcott, Gabe Barnett, Katelynn Phillips, Conor Phillips, Tristen McMichael, and Noah Strickland. Carol also leaves behind a close friend, Ruth Williams, along with numerous relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

In accordance with Mrs. Holland’s wishes, she will be cremated.

Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 3 P.M. in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home in Fayetteville, Georgia. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, prior to the service, from 2 P.M. until 3 P.M.
