Edward Dee Armstrong

Mr. Edward Dee Armstrong, age 66, of Temple passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024. He was born in Newnan on August 27, 1957. Mr. Armstrong was the son of the late, Odell Armstrong and the late, Elizabeth Ann (Stinson) Cowan. In addition to his parents, Mr. Armstrong is preceded in death by his brother Dale Armstrong.

Mr. Armstrong was Baptist by faith. He made his career as a Forklift Operator and Box Truck Driver for Keystone Automotive LKQ in Atlanta. Edward was known for his work ethic. He loved his job and those he worked with. Mr. Armstrong also enjoyed working outdoors, maintaining his lawn, feeding birds, collecting trinkets and other unique items, cooking and especially, enjoying his food. Above all, Edward loved his family, and he will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joan (Keaton) Armstrong of Temple; his daughters and sons-in-law, Karen Adams and Ted Holloway of Whitesburg and Tara and Robby Hagan of Fruithurst, Alabama; his step-father, Robert Cowan of Lakeland, Florida; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia and Alex McIlliwan and Tonya and John Lockamy all of Lakeland, Florida; brothers-in-law, Harold Keaton of Temple and Joe Keaton of Villa Rica; his special aunt, Ruth Tucker of Winter Haven, Florida; his grandchildren, Amanda Adams of Lamar, Mississippi, Alyssa Lawhorn of Fruithurst, Alabama, and Lauren Miller of Carrollton; and by his great-granddaughter, Ariana Lawhorn. Mr. Armstrong is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and a number of other relatives.

In accordance with Mr. Armstrong’s arrangements, he will be cremated.

Memorial services will be conducted at a later date. The service details will be published on the funeral home website once they have been finalized.
