Homer Charles Barnwell, Jr.

Mr. Homer Charles Barnwell, age 81, of Temple passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee on August 24, 1949.

The complete obituary will be published once it has been approved by the family. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 11 A.M. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Baptist Church with Brad Horton officiating. Mr. Barnwell will lie in state at the Church on Friday, prior to the service, from 10 A.M. until the funeral hour.

Interment will follow in Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica with Jimmy Barnwell, Jake Barnwell, Caleb Vaughn, Blake Rice, Xavier Barnwell, and Geoff Eaton serving as pallbearers. American Legion Carroll Post 143 will be providing military honors, and Masonic Last Rites will be provided by Draketown Lodge #252 F&AM.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M.
