Judy Dickinson

May 26, 1945 — Oct 30, 2026

Mrs. Judy Nell (Bishop) Dickinson, age 81, of Winston, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, October 30, 2026. She was born in Buchanan on May 26, 1945, and was the daughter of the late Able Nathaniel Bishop and the late Edna Louise (Rice) Bishop. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of sixty-three years, Harold Walter Dickinson, her daughter, Holly Dickinson Campbell, and her brother, Aaron Bishop.

Judy dedicated over thirty years of her career to the Arrow Shirt Company, where she served as a Quality Control Manager. Outside of work, she found joy in life's simple pleasures, whether playing cards, taking walks, watching birds and butterflies, or admiring the beauty of flowers. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved a good comedy movie or getting lost in the pages of a mystery book. Vivacious and full of life, Judy had a special way of bringing joy to those around her. She loved her family dearly and treasured nothing more than being "Mammie" to her grandchildren and great-grandson. She embraced life to the fullest and enjoyed traveling and making memories whenever the opportunity arose. Judy was a Christian by faith and attended Gateway Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Ivy Dickinson Camp and her husband, Ben, of Winston; her brother, John Tim Bishop, of Carrollton; her sisters, Iris Laseter, of Doerun, and Joy Shieble, of Jacksonville, Florida; her beloved grandchildren, Tyler Campbell and his wife, Katie, of Bremen, and Judy Gail Camp, of Winston; and her great-grandson, Carter Campbell. She is also survived by numerous friends and extended family members who will miss her dearly.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 2, 2026, from 4 P.M. until 7 P.M.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at 2 P.M. at Hutcheson-Croft Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Josh Agan officiating.

Interment will follow in Central Baptist Church Cemetery in Douglasville with Chad Jackson, Ben Camp, Tyler Campbell, Tyler McClung, Amos Bishop, and Clifton Bishop serving as pallbearers.

Messages of condolence can be made to the family by signing the online guestbook.
