It is with profound sadness and endless love that we announce the passing of our precious mother, Judy Rose Shipp. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, and dear friend was born on April 5, 1954 in Villa Rica. She received her heavenly wings and passed away peacefully, surrounded by love and warmth of her family on June 8, 2026. A void that can never be filled, but a heart full of beautiful , sweet memories for us to cherish within our hearts forever until we are reunited.
Our beautiful mother was always the heart of the family. She was very beautiful on the inside and outside. Her love and patience was infinite. Her smile and laugh was contagious. Her kind and gentle heart was effortless and the warmth of her loving presence brought so much joy to everyone. She was truly loved and adored by so many people. Her capacity to love was unmatched. She possessed a very rare and beautiful gift for making everyone around her feel loved and cherished. Whether she was in the kitchen singing and cooking her famous cornbread and dressing, loving and enjoying every precious moment with her children, family, friends, and fur babies, putting puzzles together, planting beautiful vibrant flowers in her garden, or going for rides with her beloved but silly husband in his MG Midget. Her spirit was gentle, loving, and patient. She was very thoughtful and amiable. To know her was to love her. We will always be grateful, blessed, and honored by just how wonderful she truly was. She was our precious mother.
Mrs. Shipp was the daughter of the late, Johnny Rose and the late, Thara (Rutledge) Rose. In addition to her parents, Judy is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Fred Shipp, Sr.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Justin Shipp of Temple; her daughters, Carla Shipp and April Shipp both of Temple; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Cathy and Edward Bryant of Bremen, Patsy Rose of Temple, and Debby and Robert Matlock of Temple; Judy is also survived by her grandson Xander Sweat of Temple and a number of other relatives.
