Lance Edmond Butler

Mr. Lance Edmond Butler, age 61, of Bremen, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026. Born in Atlanta on April 16, 1964, Lance was preceded in death by his father, Larry Wayne Butler.

Lance dedicated many years working as a sub-contractor for the United States Postal Service. Later, he pursued his passion for helping others and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Mercer University in 2010, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science. In his younger years, he found great joy in outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing. A talented musician, Lance wrote his own songs and played the guitar with heartfelt dedication. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family, who will deeply miss his presence.

He is lovingly survived by his wife of 26 years, Cindy Butler; his mother, Connie Butler of Bremen; his children, Justin Peak of Bremen, Ashley Hurst and her husband James of Temple, and Amber Upton and her husband Tevis of Dallas; his brothers, Tyron Butler of Austell, Rodney Butler of Silver Creek, and Corey Butler of Bremen; his sister, Aimee Nash and her husband Keith of Bremen; his grandchildren, Colt, Hunter, Kason Crone, Sadie Salamon, and many other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 2 P.M. at Hutcheson-Croft Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, prior to the service, from 1P.M. until the funeral hour.

In accordance with Mr. Butler’s arrangements, he will be cremated following the funeral service.
