Mrs. Linda Gail (Vines) Madden, age 54, of Villa Rica passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025. She was born in Atlanta on August 29, 1970. She lived a life marked by dedication to her family and friends. Linda was the daughter of the late Douglas Melvin Vines and the late Georgia Estelle (Redding) Vines.
Linda was a committed and loyal friend, and she was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. She provided a hot meal, a place to stay, and her special brand of joyful comfort to anyone in need. She greeted everyone she knew with a bright, welcoming smile no matter what hardships she was personally facing. She was the first to congratulate and celebrate the successes of everyone around her, and she would also sit with others in the shadows with a kind ear and a big heart. She was often trusted to take care of her friends who were at the end of their lives, and she remained committed to that work no matter how difficult it could be. She was the first to volunteer to help a friend move or join them on an errand. She would show up with her Diet Pepsi in her hand and get to work doing whatever needed to get done. Those who were lucky enough to know her will forever be changed by her generous spirit and her kind heart.
Linda enjoyed fishing with her husband, children and grandchildren. She was excited to have recently moved into a new home on a lake, and she spent one of her last days fishing with her family. She also enjoyed finding a good deal at a yard sale, and she'd gift most of the items she purchased to her friends and family. She had a unique eye for uncovering real treasures. Every child she knew has a collection of toys from Linda that are truly unique and memorable.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Dwayne Madden of Villa Rica; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Doug Madden of Villa Rica, and Justin and Kayla Madden of Bremen; her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Mary Vines of Villa Rica; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Becky and Scott Watkins of Villa Rica, Tonya George of Buchanan, and Melissa Vines of Temple. Linda is also survived by her grandchildren, Braylon, Braxton, Branson, Kolton, and Natalie, as well as a number of other relatives.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at 2 P.M. from the Hutcheson-Croft Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kenneth Brown officiating. Mrs. Madden will lie in state on Sunday, prior to the service, from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
