Louise (Miller) Odom

Ms. Louise Miller Odom, age 93, of Temple passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. She was born in Chamblee, Georgia on July 13, 1930. Ms. Odom is preceded in death by her father, Frank Miller; by her mother and stepfather, Leila and Ulus Bannister; by one daughter, Beverly Tompkins; by her brother, Herman Miller; by her sisters, Edith Stapler, Ruby Jones, Frances Toole, and Marie Baxley. 

Ms. Odom was known as a hard worker. She began her career working at Dairy Queen for over 20 years, managing various locations during that time. Louise would later go on to work for Food Giant and then retire from Big Star Markets where she served as a Manager in the Deli. In her younger years, Ms. Odom loved to dance, and she enjoyed listening to Classic Country and Bluegrass Music. She also enjoyed being outdoors, growing flowers, and watching the birds. 

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Susan Kimbro of Stone Mountain and Terry and Elaine Kimbro of Marietta; one daughter, Sandra Brunner of Temple; her grandchildren, Ginger, Paige, Christy, Tony, Israel, Jeremy, Donald, Jerry, Clifford, and Pam. Ms. Odom is also survived by her great-grandchildren, her great great-grandchildren, her many nieces, nephews, and a number of other relatives. 

In accordance with Ms. Odom’s arrangements, she will be cremated. 

The family plans to hold a Memorial Service at a later date.
