Nila Celyne Winn

Ms. Nila Celyne Winn, age 75, of Douglasville passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025. She was born in Cedartown on December 29, 1949. Ms. Winn was the daughter of the late, Dan P. Winn and the late, Marceline (Conley) Winn.

Ms. Winn dedicated many years of her life to public service as a Parole Officer for the State of Georgia. Her commitment to her work reflected her desire to make a positive impact on her community. Additionally, she was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church, where she was known for her kindness and warm spirit.

Her memory will be lovingly preserved by her sister Darice Winn Lewis of Cedartown; two brothers and their spouses, Frank and Mai Winn of Douglasville, and Nick and Tina Winn of Douglasville. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and their spouses: Austin and Rebecca Smith; Erin and Robert Blackadar; Brandon and Liz Winn; Conley and Erin Winn; Joely and Gary Heege; Ayn Glenn; and Allyn and Scott Arrington. A beloved great aunt, she is remembered by her great nieces and great nephews, including Daniel, Kaitlin, George, Caleb, Jeremiah, Kasey, Nila, Jack, Mary Celyne, Winn, Gabby, and Hunter. Additionally, she is survived by a great-great-niece, Charlotte, as well as many other relatives who will remember her fondly.

In accordance with Ms. Winn’s wishes, she was cremated.

Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 12 Noon from Ephesus Baptist Church in Villa Rica with Dr. Billy Godwin and Reverend John Pennington officiating and sharing of memories by Frank Winn, Juli Muchnick, and Joely Heege.

The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday, prior to the service, from 10 A.M. until 12 Noon.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in memory of Nila Winn, be made to Ephesus Baptist Church, The Marine Corps Toy for Tots, or a charity of your choosing.
