Pamela Yvette Cruse Edwards, age 69 of Temple, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 26, 2025, after a brief illness. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, she was the daughter of Martha Ann McKenzie Cruse Gentry and the late Clifford Ellis “Sonny” Cruse. In addition to her father, Pam is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tony Edwards, who passed away in March.
Pam was that social butterfly who never met a stranger. From being in banking and also working as a receptionist, she always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. Pam loved to talk, shop and go out to eat. She found peace being at the beach and listening to the waves. A devoted member of Truth Baptist Church, she loved her Lord and her church family. Nanna fiercely loved her family and cherished their time together. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughters and son-in-law, Alicia Lewis of Heflin and Sonia and Toby Powers of Bremen; her precious grandchildren: Nathaniel Edwards, Anna Grace (Levi) Ray, Caitlyn Powers, and Julia Powers; her sweet great-grandchildren: Kynlee Edwards and Ella Ray; and her parents, Lamar and Martha Ann Gentry. Also surviving are her sisters and brother-in-law, Donna Gail Corbett of Horseshoe Beach, Florida, and Robbie and Jay Rakoski of Villa Rica; her brother and sister-in-law, Guy and Cynthia Cruse of Temple; and other extended family and many friends.
Homegoing services for Pam Edwards will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Truth Baptist Church in Bremen with Reverend Toby Powers officiating. Music will be provided by Tonya Cochran and Scott and Tessa Thomas. Interment will follow in Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: John Gammon, Daniel Gammon, Alex Gammon, Luke Nelson, Jake Nelson, Nick Nelson, Tom Nelson, and Cameron Thomas.
The family will receive friends at Truth Baptist Church from 2:00 PM until the funeral hour.
Hutcheson-Croft Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Temple is honored to serve the Edwards family.
