Pauline "Polly" G. Moore

Mrs. Pauline “Polly” G. Moore, age 87, of Carrollton passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. She was born in Carrollton, Georgia on Friday, November 19, 1937. Mrs. Moore was the daughter of the late, Alfred Warner Gilley and the late, Eloise Myrl (Moore) Gilley. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moore is preceded in death by her husband, James Oree Moore, Jr.; her son, James Oree Moore III; her daughter, Tina Laree (Moore) Chase and son-in-law, Ronald Chase; her brothers, Talmadge Gilley and Preston Gilley, as well as two sisters, Voyelle Bearden and Brazelle Worley. Mrs. Moore was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Kerry Christopher Chase and wife, Jennifer Chase of Acworth, Mason Alexander Moore of Douglasville, Jackson Connor Moore of Douglasville, and Hunter Grayson Moore of Douglasville; her great-grandchildren, Easton Chase, Beckham Chase, and Luna Chase; her nephew, David Gilley of Carrollton; her niece, Lawana Musick of Whitesburg; her daughter-in-law, Diane Moore of Douglasville; her sister, Gertrude Worley of Whitesburg; and a number of other relatives.

In accordance with Mrs. Moore’s arrangements, she will be cremated.

Private graveside services and inurnment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan with Brother Gary Brown officiating.
