Ricky James Allen

Ricky James Allen, age 69 of Temple, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.  Born in Atlanta, GA, on October 31, 1953, he was the son of the late Sidney Samuel Eugene Allen and the late Elsie Mae Moore Allen.  In addition to his parents, Ricky is preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Allen.  He was retired from the construction/remodeling business.

An avid outdoorsman, Ricky enjoyed hunting and fishing. When not outside, playing his guitar and cooking were favorite hobbies.  However, any activity that involved spending time with his family was when he was the happiest.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 46 years, Reba Clark Allen; his daughters and sons-in-law, Felina and Joe Feathers, Jr., Temple, Becky and James Pritchard, Temple, and Bessie Allen, Rockmart; and his son and daughter-in-law, Ricky, Jr, and Shannon Allen, Temple.  Also surviving are his sisters, Barbara Folds, Kathy Ansley, Peggy Bishop, and Sharon Perrien, all of Bremen; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Martha Allen, Taylorsville and Terry and Kathey Allen, Wedowee, AL; his precious 19 grandchildren: Tiffany, Jamie, Zachary, Justin, Meagan, Dustin, Amelia, Pierce, Olivia, Elijah, Isaiah, Jeremiah, JJ, Ashley, Maddie, Mason, Andrew, Joshua, and Jacob, as well as four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Ricky Allen will be conducted on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Hutcheson-Croft Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour.
