Ruby Patricia Kinsey

Mrs. Ruby Patricia (Martin) Kinsey, age 81, of Temple, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2026. Born on October 5, 1944, in Atlanta, she was the beloved daughter of the late Melvin Martin and Annie Mae (Morris) Martin. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Charlotte Delores Thompson and Lisa LaNa Mahaffey; her two sisters, Bobbie Ann Pendlebury and Janice Hayes; and by one grandson, Josh Thompson.

Pat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, “Maw Maw,” and “MeMa.” She dedicated a number of years to her work at Georgia Baptist Hospital in the Pathology Lab before continuing her career with Polaroid, where she retired after more than twenty years of service. Pat was Christian by faith and a member of Mount Harmony Baptist Church in Mableton. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her family, and she will be dearly missed.

Left to honor her memory are her loving husband of sixty-six years, Robert Lee Kinsey, Sr. of Temple; her son and daughter-in-law, Robert Lee Kinsey, Jr. and Connie Kinsey of Temple; her daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Chuck Thompson of Newnan; her sister, Sandra Erickson of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; and her grandchildren, Michael Kinsey, Stephen Kinsey, Brooke Kinsey, Karey Adkinson, Melissa Sebree, Matthew Thompson, LaNay Downtaine, Chase Mahaffey, C.J. Thompson, Luke Thompson, and Rachel Thompson. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and a number of other loving relatives.

In keeping with Mrs. Kinsey’s wishes, she will be cremated.
