Susan "Ma" Ann Watkins

Ms.  Susan Ann Watkins, age 60, of Bowdon passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015. Ms. Watkins was born in Temple on Sunday, October 10, 1954. She is preceded in death by her father Ernest Watkins.

Survivors include her husband Peanut Morris of Bowdon; her mother, Faye (Bishop) Watkins of Carrollton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dwayne and Beth Batchelor of Muscadine, Alabama and Shane and Samantha Batchelor of Heflin, Alabama; two step-sons and step-daughters-in-law, Jody and Charmion Morris of Dawsonville and Mickey and Melisa Morris of Jessup; one step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Vicki and Jason Swann of Buchanan; two adopted sons, Robbie and his wife Christy Norton of Mount Zion and Shane Brooks of Fruithurst, Alabama; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Harold and Denise Watkins of Smyrna and Danny Watkins of Clem; one sister, Charlotte Watkins of Clem; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Judy and Peewee McQuiry of Buchanan; grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and adopted grandchildren, Lori Cape of Heflin, Alabama, Kaylee Cape of Muscadine, Alabama, Logan Pitman of Buchanan, Lindsey Batchelor of Alexander City, Alabama, Jacob Peyton of Muscadine, Alabama, Kelly and Erica Morris of Dawsonville, Christian and Isaiah Morris of Jessup, Andy and Paige Swann of Buchanan, Joey Norton and Blake Grier of Mount Zion, and Korin Brooks of Fruithurst, Alabama; one future great-grandson, Colton Anderson who is due in December of 2015, and a number of other relatives.

According to Ms. Watkins wishes she will be cremated. Memorial Services will be conducted on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 3pm from the Croft Funeral Home Chapel. The family requests that those who plan to attend the service dress casually.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 2pm until the Memorial Service begins.
