Thomas Olin Pattillo Sr.

Mr. Thomas Olin Pattillo Sr., age 89, of Villa Rica passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016. Mr. Pattillo was born in Atlanta on Tuesday, February 8, 1927. He was the son of the late Walter Calvin Pattillo and the Late Ann Jane (Morris) Pattillo. Besides his parents, Mr. Pattillo was preceded in death by his son Thomas Olin Pattillo Jr.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Carla Pattillo of Temple; two step-daughters and their spouses, Jill and David Vaughn of Temple and Christine and Jimmy Sumner of Villa Rica; three brothers and three sisters-in-law, Don and Pat Pattillo of Raleigh, North Carolina, Patrick and Georg Ann Pattillo of Jacksonville, Florida, and Leslie and Tresa Pattillo of Jacksonville, Florida; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Mary Cornelia Mullen of Woodstock, Georgia and Joanne and Neal Turner of Woodstock, Georgia; three grandchildren, Michelle Pattillo Fuller of Whitesburg, Bryan Pattillo of Atlanta, Georgia, and Rebecca Pattillo of Indianapolis, Indiana; three step-grandchildren, Seb Burnett of Villa Rica, Spencer Sumner of Villa Rica, and Emma Sumner of Villa Rica; three great-grandchildren, Jessie Fuller of Whitesburg, Thomas Pattillo of Atlanta, Erin Pattillo of Flowery Branch and a number of other relatives.

Mr. Pattillo was a retired Insurance Salesman and was a Veteran of the United States Army. He served as a Paratrooper during World War II. He also enjoyed composing and playing country music.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, Mr. Pattillo will be cremated.
