Timothy "Greg" Venable

Mr. Timothy Greg Venable, age 61, of Temple, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026. Born on June 3, 1964, in Villa Rica, Greg was the cherished son of the late Douglas Wayne Venable and Carole (Thompson) Venable.

A proud 1982 graduate of Temple High School, Greg dedicated several years working at Temple Wood Products before establishing and operating Venable Mower Shop, where he and his father served many members of the West Georgia community with care and commitment. Greg was Christian by faith and a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Temple. He found great joy in fishing, often visiting lakes such as Wedowee, West Point, and Lake Martin. In addition, he had a passion for working with model trains, a hobby that brought him much happiness. He was deeply loved by all who knew him, and his presence will be sincerely missed.

Greg is lovingly remembered by his wife, Lara (Brown) Venable of Temple, and his many friends who hold his memory dear.

In keeping with Mr. Venable’s arrangements, he will be cremated.

Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 11 A.M. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Villa Rica with Reverend Ricky Shadrix officiating.
