Brian Wesley Barnhill

Mr. Brian Wesley Barnhill, 75, of Temple, GA. passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022 at his home. He was born August 15, 1946 in Atlanta, GA. He was the son of the late, Russell Wallace Barnhill and the late, Mildred Virginia (Sanders) Barnhill. He attended Brown High School in Atlanta. He served 3 years in the United States Army, including deployment in the Vietnam War. He later served an additional 11 years in the Georgia National Guard. He worked as a flooring installer for 47 years. He and his wife, Sylvia, worked together for 35 of those years. He was a devoted husband and father and an avid deer hunter, who loved to hunt his grandfather’s farm land in Stephens, GA. He was of the Christian Faith.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Ronnie Barnhill and Michael Wayne Barnhill and by a sister, Pamela Barnhill Smith.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sylvia (Southerland) Barnhill of Temple, GA; a son, Bryan Shaun Barnhill of Temple, GA; a daughter, Penny Barnhill Chaffins, three granddaughters, Ashley, Savanna and Faith, and one great-granddaughter, Caroline, all of West Columbia, S.C. Mr. Barnhill is also survived by a sister, Margie Barnhill Brown of Douglasville, GA. and numerous nieces and nephews.
