Bruce Gordon Ellis

Mr. Bruce Gordon Ellis, age 58, of Whittier, North Carolina passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on Tuesday, October 3, 1961. Mr. Ellis was the son of the late, James Edward Ellis and the late, Carolyn (Davis) Ellis.

Mr. Ellis served in the United States Army. Later in life, he made a career as a truck driver for Cook Trucking.  Bruce was so full of life and loved making everyone laugh. He was skilled in many areas, such as construction and working on cars. Bruce enjoyed singing country music, riding his motorcycle. Above all, Bruce especially loved his grandbabies and being able to spend time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Janet (Cook) Ellis of Whittier, North Carolina; his son, Brent Ellis of Whittier, North Carolina; his daughter Crystal Howton of Lithia Springs, Georgia; his brother, Chris Ellis of Powder Springs, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Hannah Ellis, Shannon Ellis, Hailyn Baker, Katelynn Ellis, Hadleigh Baker, Jackson Baker, Nathaniel Ellis and a number of other relatives.

In accordance with Mr. Ellis’ wishes, he will be cremated. The family plans to conduct a memorial service at a later date.
