Garry Fulton Obituary

Mr. Garry Grady Fulton, age 70, of Temple passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2020 with his wife by his side.  He was born in Cartersville on Monday, February 27, 1950 (along with his late twin brother Larry) to Elizabeth McCoy Weatherston and the late Carl Fulton.

Garry loved his country and served in the U.S. Army, serving two tours in the Vietnam war.  After returning from the war, he made a career operating his own commercial heating and air company where he was given the name, “Garry the Great”  He leaves us with this, “if you’re going to play hard, you better know how to work hard.”  He always knew how to laugh and to crack a joke and was quick with his witty responses.  He was valued within his community and brought joy to all that visited him while working at Taylors Gin Store.

Garry is survived by his wife, Fran (Smith) Attaway of Temple; His mother Elizabeth McCoy Weatherston of Rustburg, Virginia; his sister Glenda Davis of Rustburg, Virginia; his daughters Hayley Perkerson (Wesley), Missy Key, Stacey Fulton, and Marie Tominich (Ron); his son Brandon Carl Fulton (Amanda), Rodney Stone (Cheryl) and Anwar Rashid; His grandchildren Chris, Ben, Kelsey, Scott, Sean, Kaydence, Piper, Tylor, Dylan, Makenzie (Matthew) and Austin (Savanna). He is Preceded in death by his Father Carl Fulton, his twin brother Larry Fulton, and his sisters Debbie Fulton and Jill Fulton. He is remembered by a number of other friends and family. He will be greatly missed.

In accordance with Mr. Fulton’s wishes, he will be cremated.
