Mrs. Hazel Louise (Rowell) Patterson, age 85, of Carrollton passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023. She was born in Buchanan on Tuesday, September 21, 1937. Mrs. Patterson was the daughter of the late, Hubert Roy Rowell and the late, Katie Ethel Faye (Adams) Rowell. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her husband, Shirley “Pat” Prince Patterson; by three brothers, Scotty Rowell, Charles Rowell, and Jerry Rowell; and by one sister, Wilma Rowell.
Mrs. Patterson touched so many lives. She had a sincere faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, inspiring many friends and family to attend Church. Hazel was known for her good manners and sense of fashion, dressing up for every occasion. Mrs. Patterson was a truly genuine and loving person who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Kerry and Kimberley Patterson of Carrollton; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Joy and Keith Harper of Bremen, Ann and Clipper Henderson of Carrollton, Kay Combs of Carrollton, and Ellane Richards of Gore, Oklahoma; one brother and sister-in-law, Curtis and Debbie Rowell of Powder Springs and one sister, Twyla Summerville of Whitesburg. Mrs. Patterson is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a number of other relatives.
In accordance with Mrs. Patterson’s wishes, she will be cremated.
A Private Inurnment service will be conducted at Corinth Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Whitesburg at a later date.
