James Royalton Hurst

James Royalton Hurst, age 73, of Villa Rica passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020. He was born in Moultrie, Georgia on Saturday, July 5, 1947. Mr. Hurst was the son of the late, James Roscoe Hurst and the late, Essie Mae (Moulder) Hurst. Besides his parents, Mr. Hurst is preceded in death by his wife, Pat (Brubaker) Hurst and by his sister, Myrtis Baumgardner. 

Mr. Hurst served in the United States Army. Later in life, he made a career working for Sugarfoods Corporation.

Survivors include his special friend, Barbara Burke of Villa Rica; one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Dawn LeCroy of Villa Rica; one daughter, Karen LeCroy of Winder; grandchildren and their spouses, Kendra LeCroy and Fiancé, Taylor Long of Villa Rica, Danielle LeCroy and Fiancé, William Chriswell of Villa Rica, Andy LeCroy of Villa Rica, Angelynn Thomas and Fiancé, James Dwyer of Winder, Patricia Thomas and Fiancé, Justin Floyd of Athens, Kristina Thomas and Fiancé Tyler Barnett of Jersey and Allison and Trent Voyles of Dallas; great-grandchildren, Brantley LeCroy, Delila Long, Lilly Long, Phoenix Chriswell, Kadence Thomas, Riley Telligman, Isabella Tellez, Scarlet Barnett, Violet Barnett, Zander Floyd, Hunter Voyles, Leithen Voyles, Ruby Voyles and a number of other relatives.

In accordance with Mr. Hurst’s wishes, he will be cremated.

Due to the current COVID 19 pandemic, the family plans to hold a Memorial Service at a later date.
