Mr. James Harold Smith, age 85, of Temple passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. He was born in Dallas on Friday, February 11, 1938. Mr. Smith was the son of the late, William Claude Smith and the late, Ruth (Waldrop) Smith. In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his wife of over 53 years, Mary (Lanning) Smith; by his son, Jimmy Carnes; by his brother, William Edward Smith and by his sisters, Mildred Smith, Norma Gilmer and Gussie Mae Dowdy.
Survivors include his two daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Ralph Marques of Temple and Dianna and Richard Price of Woodstock; his grandchildren, Emily Marques, Katelin Marques, Jessica Price, Michael Price and a number of other relatives.
In accordance with Mr. Smith’s wishes, he will be cremated.
