Jo Burnham Tyler

Mrs. Jo Burnham Tyler, age 76 of Villa Rica (formerly of Douglasville) passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. She was born in LaGrange on December 26, 1946. Mrs. Tyler was the daughter of the late, L.J. Burnham and the late, Emma Cottle Burnham. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tyler is preceded in death by her first husband, John Barry Parmer, her second husband, Wallace Lee Tyler, one stepson, Danny Tyler, and by her brother, Jim Burnham.

Mrs. Tyler was a 1965 graduate of LaGrange High School. She would later work as an Operator for Bell South for many years. Mrs. Tyler was a devout Christian and a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church in Douglasville. She loved reading her Bible daily and expressed her love for the Lord by teaching children’s Sunday School for many years, while she was able.

Survivors include her son, Jay Parmer of Villa Rica; her daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Chris Dalon of Villa Rica; her stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Jay and Angela Tyler of Villa Rica; her stepdaughter, Amanda Reid of Douglasville; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Jayne Burnham Belote and Buddy Belote of Franklin, Tennessee and Jerri Burnham Grantham of Douglasville; her grandchildren, Cameron Perry, Lincoln Reid, Natalie Reid, and Haiden Dalon. Mrs. Tyler is also survived by her nieces, nephews, and a number of other relatives.

The family will host a Celebration of Life at their residence located at 591 Reed Rd., Villa Rica, GA 30180 on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 12 Noon until 3:00 PM. The family would like to invite anyone who knew and loved Mrs. Jo to attend.
