Shirley Vaughn Obituary

Mrs. Shirley Frances (Wallis) Vaughn, age 87, of Carrollton passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024. She was born in Carrollton on July 20, 1936. Mrs. Vaughn was the daughter of the late, William Homer Wallis and the late, Eunice Helen (Tillman) Wallis. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vaughn is preceded in death by her husband, Chestene Vaughn.

Shirley worked for many years at Tanner Memorial Hospital in Carrollton as a Ward Clerk in the Emergency Department. She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Carrollton. Mrs. Vaughn enjoyed gardening, going to flea markets, looking for bargains, and making floral wreath arrangements. Shirley will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Tony Stephen Vaughn of Carrollton; her daughter, Debra Vaughn of Carrollton; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Larry Wallis of Dunwoody and David and Rebecca Wallis of Carrollton; her sisters, Betty Johnson of Carrollton, Linda Copeland of Carrollton, and a number of other relatives.

In accordance with Mrs. Vaughn’s arrangements, she will be cremated.
