Billy brought us so many happy moments in our life and left us with a treasure trove of memories that we will never forget nor will we be able to forget him. We will always remember his sense of humor, his big heart, how energetic and unpredictable he was but, most of all how much he cared for and loved his family. Words cannot express the feeling of loss or the emptiness that his passing has left. To Connie and his family we simply say may you take comfort in knowing an angel is watching over you.

Billy was not only a dear friend, but we also worked together in Animal Control for many years and have shared many great moments riding together that will always remain in my heart. We laughed together, we sweat together and we bleed together while we performed our duties serving this community. Connie and I work together now and is a very dear friend to me and she has been there for me through a very tough time in my life. We too laugh together, sweat together and bleed together serving our community and once again we shed tears together. I want you and your family to know that I am here for you all no matter time of day or night.

The last time I saw you Billy was at our class reunion in December 2014. What a beautiful thing to see how happy you were in life and how much you loved Connie and your son. She is precious. I knew Billy from running Haralson County Animal Control. He was a very wonderful person and a great employee. I knew he left to work for Carroll County Animal Control to get closer to home and spend more time with his son, Nick. I was shocked to hear of him passing, but know he loved to ride. So, he left this world riding up to a better place. I pray for Nick, his wife and all the family through this tragedy. May you rest in piece, Billy.....you had a good soul!! Mike Pope
