Danny Hutcheson 1959 - 2023
Former President / Funeral Director and Embalmer
Danny was a native of Haralson County. He was the son of the late Jimmy and Jo Ann Hutcheson. Danny was a graduate of Haralson County High School, attended West Georgia College and was a graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta. He is also a Past President of the Georgia Funeral Directors Association and a past President of the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice.
Danny fought a valiant fight against a hemorrhagic stroke for more than 5 1/2 years. On Monday, November 6, 2023, his fight was over, and he went to be with his Lord and Savior. We miss him every day, but we know that we will see him again one day. We continue this business with the same compassion and care that he so believed in.

Patty Hutcheson
President / Funeral Director and Embalmer
Patty is a native of Haralson County. She is the daughter of the late Everett and Mildred Simpson of Bremen. Patty is a graduate of Bremen High School, Truett-McConnell College, University of West Georgia and Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta. Patty serves Haralson County as its first female coroner. and is a member of the Buchanan United Methodist Church. Besides her work as a funeral director and embalmer, she also serves as executive director of the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice.

Funeral Director, Embalmer, & Certified Crematory Operator
Chase is a 2009 graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta. He is a Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer in the State of Georgia and is Certified Crematory Operator. Since opening in 2013, Chase has been the Funeral Director In Full Continuous Chage of the Temple location. He is a member of the Georgia Academy of Graduate Embalmers and the Georgia Funeral Directors Association.

Kathryn Hutcheson- Croft
Funeral Director and Embalmer
Kathryn is the daughter of Danny and Patty Hutcheson. She is a 2006 graduate of Bremen High School. Kathryn is a licensed Funeral Director, Embalmer, Certified Crematory Operator and an August 2008 Graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service. Kathryn also serves on the board of the Academy of Graduate Embalmers of Georgia.

Darwyn Summerville

Darwyn served his apprenticeship at Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel and graduated from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in 1992. Darwyn and his wife Kim reside in Villa Rica with their five sons.

Homer and his wife Barbara live in Tallapoosa. Homer has worked as a Volunteer Firefighter for the Tallapoosa Fire Department since 1975, Stoffel Seals in Tallapoosa in 1977, and was called to preach in 1973. He became a funeral assistant in 2013.

Robert grew up in Haralson County and attended Haralson County High School, Class of 1995. He is married to Teresa who is a primary school teacher for Buchanan Primary. He has a daughter Oliva.

John Croft
Funeral Assistant
John and his wife Elaine live in Buchanan. He graduated from North Fulton High School in 1969, Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (A.B.A.C.) in 1972, and the University of Georgia in 1975. John worked for Cobb County for 22 years until his retirement in 2009. After teaching for over 30 years Elaine retired from the Haralson County School System. John has been a Funeral Assistant since 2010.
